An honest report on what the dietitian's family ate for dinner last week... As always I strive to 1) sit down together, 2) ensure a protein for everyone, and 3) include at least one fruit and/or vegetable. Mostly it happens, sometimes it doesn't. C'est la vie.
Sunday- hubby on call; kids and I joined family for a birthday celebration of apps and caramel apple cake. YUM.
Monday- pork wontons, tofu edamame stir-fry with Napa cabbage from the CSA.

Tuesday- lemon and pea risotto, carrots with Chimichurri, and green salads. Over easy egg (fresh from the yard) upon request.
Wednesday- breakfast for dinner- chicken sausage and eggs, oatmeal with cherry/blueberry compote.
Thursday- coconut pea soup and burgers (chicken for most, mushroom for me). Look for the soup on the menu this week!
Friday- hubby on call, kids at homecoming football game... snacks and nibbles.
Saturday- hosted a potluck graduation party and the eats were second to none (sushi, cheese plates, chicken molé flatbreads, guacamole, berry tart...).
